I'm saddened to share that one of my Sorority Sisters, Stacey has lost her sweet 4 yr old daughter in a school bus crash in Carrolton Ky.

She was headed home from a Head start program when the bus had an accident and rolled over.

This is her picture taken recently with her sister.

There are 4 kids in the family, one younger and 2 older.

Another child was killed in the accident as well, and at least 3 others taken to children's hospitals.

iPrayer Baby Request

iPrayer Request

I just got this and was asked to send it on right away:

Brandon and Sarah's baby is due this week. They were planning a natural, non-medicated birth with a doula, but the baby is breech. They've been working this week to turn him around, but if he doesn't turn by Monday they will be having a csection. Could you please send this to the prayer list as soon as possible? Sarah's update is below.

Thank you for all the prayers already offered and for any that will be offered for Brandon, Eli and me as we continue forward. I have an update on our situation since Jim sent this out. There was a problem with scheduling the OR for Friday afternoon, just in case the turning procedure does not work and I have to deliver by c-section. So, I have been rescheduled for Monday Oct 22nd. This is great news for me because it gives Eli more time to turn on his own and/or respond to the at home techniques we have been using to encourage him to flip. Im encouraged because he has been moving more in the past 24 hours, and this morning feels as if he is in a different position than he was on Monday. Please continue to pray for Eli, that he will have the strength and ability to turn head down for us and for patience and perseverance for Brandon and I as we wait and watch to see what happens.

Hope your October is going Pumpkin-Perfectly! Thanks for scanning over these requests and if you have time, pass them on!!
 
Requests:

Request #1: My good friend Suzanne (The beautiful Mommy in this picture!!) posted a note on Facebook this morning that when she went in for an ultra sound for her Baby #3, they said they found a spot where she is Hemorrhaging. They assured her that it was not near the baby and that by the way they think it's a girl. They told her not to do any strenuous activity. They said, "Everything is ok." But she is not feeling like everything is ok. (Although they were really excited for another girl!)

Please pray that this will all work out!!!

Request #2: Our Fall Family Fun Night is THIS Saturday, and our Children's Minister is SICK SICK SICK! She has a migraine that is going on and on and causing her to have LOTS of nausea and keeping her from eating anything! She said even water has been making her um...lose her lunch...Anyway, please pray for health, and for peace that everything will get taken care of while she rests!

Request #3: A friend who is having some health issues and doesn't feel like she can talk to anyone about it!

Request #4: Good weather and safety for everyone that comes to our Family Fun Night! :-)

Request #5: Financial Peace. A family who thought they were going to receive Financial Aid for schooling is not going to. So, we have to assume it's to cause them to rely more fully on God, which is always good for us, and always hard! Please pray that they will make a better budget and pull off sticking to it, as we head into the Holiday Shopping Season.

Hi!

I hope October is going well for everyone! I know I always say this, but I'm amazed how fast this year has gone!

Here are some requests!!

Request #1: Angela- Major finance issues!! Right now she is able to stay home with her son, who has an immune deficiency and so he is unable to attend daycare safely. Angela is working in direct sales on her schedule to help with finances.

But, they have nearly begun construction on a new house and figured out if things don't workout just right, she will have to go back to work. They aren't sure what they would do for childcare.

Please pray that construction will begin (and end) right on schedule and that God will give them exactly the right answer for their situation! Specifically for her direct sales to take off!!

Request #2: DeLana, a friend of Emily's, has been having very severe stomach/digestive issues. There are lots of other health issues as well. But, the biggest problem she is dealing with is that she can't keep anything down at all (for a long time now!) The surgeon actually told her "there's nothing much more we can do for you." Phenergan and Zofran haven't helped.

I told her we would pray that God would provide a unique solution for her problems!

Request #3: One of the ladies we pray along side was supposed to retire Oct. 31st. She's been counting down for a year (ok years and years) but with only 3 or 4 weeks left to go she found out that she has to work Two more YEARS!! Aaaaaahhh! Oh, talk about bad news! :-( She is a cancer survivor and had a heart attack last year. Please pray these 2 years will be the best ever!

Request #4: An unspoken health concern.

Request #5: Our Family Fun Night is THIS Saturday!! We need: Great Weather, more volunteers, more candy, and lots of kids!!

Don't forget Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes!! The collection date is Nov. 12-19, the week after the election!! Please fill a box and pray that others will too!!
