Good News! (And who doesn't need some of that!!)
Emily just called and said that they are removing the port that caused her blood clot, tomorrow and putting in a pic-line. This will be something she will be put under for, which is always scary, but such a relief to get that out.
The other great news is, the medicine the nephrologist gave her has worked wonders with the swelling. One concern is they still don't know why it happened in the first place. She said she lost "enough fluids to fill a car gas tank." :-)
She's worried that they won't let her out till they know why she had all that swelling in the first place.
