iprayer Ladies Prayer Group
Week of 9/6/10

Nice to see you! Come on In! :-)

Ok, you can't but how about: Thanks for reading!

I'm glad you joined me today to pray for these requests and praises! As always,Requests are Blue and Praises are Pink! NEW! Updates on Previous Requests in Orange! Always fun to see God Moving! I have, again, only edited people's requests when really needed. Otherwise I pasted them as is!

Let's start today with a prayer:

Lord God, thank You for Your help, Your love and Your protection. I pray that Your Holy Spirit would be here with us as we read and write this. I pray that Your Will would be done, even as we read these requests. We pray Lord, that You would send us the requests You want us to see, and if it is Your will, let us see or hear evidence of Your responses. Let us accept Your will, whether You say, "Yes," "No," or "Wait," I pray that we would understand that You are always good, and You know what is best. Thank you, Lord for your help, and for your presence. You said that where 2 or more are joined together in Your name, You would be there. I pray that we would be joined together in Your name, even though we are miles apart. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Request #1 - Please pray for Amy and Dan...Dan (7 yrs) punched Amy (5 yrs) in the nose last wk and she got internal bruising from it.  Amy's better but I'm concerned about Dan.  We dealt w/ it in therapy some but I'm not quite sure what to do about it from here.  The therapist was concentrating on self esteem;  I want to concentrate on empathy.  So I guess I could ask you to pray for me for wisdom!!  -names changed.

Request #2: Steve is having surgery #3 on 9/9 to attempt to repair a hernia! It's on into "why isn't this over yet?" He has gone to a new doctor, in hopes that it will resolve whatever is going on. He has 1 week left (5 days) of vacation, but will be out of work for 9 work days, 2 of which would be off days anyway, but that's still 2 days he just won't get paid.

Request #3: Just got home...Barbara left me a message. Her sister, Lizzy, lives in the apartment complex that caught on fire...the one on the news. Lizzy and her son Shawn live in the apt. Praise!Their apt was not on the side where the fire began, but they have a lot of smoke and water damage. Please pray for them.

Praise! Chris had her heart cath done on Friday and it was totally normal!! Thanks to those of you who jumped in on that Urgent Request last week! Results of the stress test came back normal too! Cardiologist says her heart is healthy!

Request #4 & Update on Chris: She has continued to have chest pain and pressure, as well as numbness and tingling in her limbs and neck. The cardiologist Friday suggested the possibility that it may have to do with her asthma. She tried using a asthma inhaler Saturday night, but it hasn't really helped much. She is supposed to follow up with her regular doctor. Let's pray this week that they will find out the reason for all this discomfort and scary symptoms and put a stop to it! Raising 5 kids is hard enough by yourself without all this!

Request #5: Emily is having a terrible bout of insomnia! About a month went by with only a few minutes at a time of sleep (10 minutes one night), then finally she started get 4-5 hrs a night, and yes, she's already taking sleeping medicine. She has several other health conditions that make this all very difficult to deal with!

Praise! My little one (3 yrs) had a terrible virus this past weekend. Started Wednesday when the school called and told me that she suddenly had a 102 temp and before I could get there it went up to 103! Total of 2 doctors visits since then. Fever would go up suddenly and back down for 5 days! It also came with a terrible headache. Thanks to God she didn't get any other symptoms that apparently can come with it. A bit of a runny nose a couple of times. She is over it now and back at school today!!!!

Thanks for your prayers! Pass them on! And keep sending me more!!!

14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.
