We had a hot but beautiful weekend, and Field Day Friday didn't even get rained out!!
I found this verse I wanted to share with you too. I love seeing David praise The Lord for not rejecting his prayer. I think we (ok I) have a tendency to assume God will accept my prayers. But David is right, we should thank Him any time He hears our prayers and requests!
"If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!" (Psalm 66:18-20 NIV)
We have several requests this morning so I will jump right in!! Please feel free to email me and requests or praises you have or hear!!
Request: A friend's Father, has just now been taken back for a procedure to treat Kidney Stones, which he was taken to the hospital for overnight Saturday. Please pray it will go smoothly!!
Request: Elizabeth's Father passed away this weekend. She is 36. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
Request: Susan's husband isn't doing as we'll as we thought following his hospital stay. He is having gi issues.
Request: A friend's new sister-in-law found out that her brother, 30 yrs old, committed suicide last weekend. No details except that he shot himself in the parking lot of a hospital. :-(
Praise and Request: Suzanne's baby girl Evangeline is home from the hospital and doing much better! All 3 of her kids (under 7) have fevers still, but they are manageable w medication. Still no word from the blood work Kosair did, but they are thinking it is actually a virus. She said only 1 of them tested positive for strep, so they think she may have picked that up On Top of the virus they all have. Baby is nursing again! :-)
Prayers that this tiny girl will be at 110% soon!
Request: The daughter of a friend has gotten herself into a heap of trouble this past week, which may not be all bad actually. Without sharing too many details, she is involved in a very negative relationship and there is an addiction involved- so probably a little separation is a good thing.
At any rate, she will have a court date Friday, and her Mom asks that we pray for her protection, and rescue from a very bad situation. Let this be the wake up call she needs!!
Please pray for God's perfect plan in everything!
Also, Mom requests prayer for herself and family- for stress and to know how to best help.
