iPrayer Requests Even More!

Good News And New Requests

Great News! The Mommy-to-Be we prayed for yesterday is just fine! The doctor told her at this point sometimes when the placenta moves it creates bleeding! Baby and Mom are ok. She's going to have to "take it easy" for awhile, and has been given Iron supplements.

Request: From Concerned Grandma- Please remember Baby C on your prayer list. His Mom and Dad took him to the doctors tonight and he has RSV. The little guy seems to keep getting sick. I just pray he will outgrow some of this in the future.

Request: Awhile ago we prayed for a lady that was pregnant with twins & was on hospital bed rest for a while. Apparently her husband was having an affair since September & while she was in the hospital, he got the girlfriend pregnant! He has gotten mad, threatened her, pushed & wrestled her to the ground, calls all day, & shows up uninvited to her parents house where she is staying. She filed for divorce yesterday. Moving her stuff out of their apt. & into her parents tomorrow. Her name is Elani, twins are baby girls.

iPrayer 2/26/13

February 26, 2013

singing in the rain
New Mercies Pouring Down Every Rainy Day!

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-24 KJV

Days like today it can be really hard to imagine that the "Sun will come out tomorrow." But, so far at least, it always has.

In fact, the Bible tells us that "His compassions fail not," and that "The Lord's mercies" are "New every morning." Good thing, or I would have been "consumed" a long, long time ago.

I mostly use the New American Standard Bible or the New International Version (NASB or NIV) but this verse just speaks to me from the King James Version.

This same verse is in the others, of course, the NIV translates it: "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed" and "The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease" says the NASB.

Interesting that Mercy and Love can be translated from the same word, huh?

Check this one out:

"10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." Malachi 3:10 NIV

I figure it the Lord sends down so much blessing I can't store it, I will just pass some around!

So, when Spring seems 4 months away instead of 4 weeks, and when the checking account balance is less than your age, and when you feel like the most you can pull off is getting out of bed that day, just remember, ask the Lord for what you need, trust Him, and he will MORE than make it all work out.

Oh, and if it rains on your parade, take your shoes off and splash a little!!

Request #1:

One of our Prayer Ladies found out today that her husband is going to have to have Prostate Surgery on Friday. It's very sudden and will require an entire weekend in the hospital. Please pray for calm and peace for both of them and a very easy, successful, painless procedure with a quick recovery!

Request #2:

TJ - Needs prayer for help getting Insurance to pay for various medicines and equipment needed, and for related health concerns. Also feeling very down and somewhat hopeless. Please pray for health, peace, and understanding of the Hope that she can find in Jesus.

Request #3:

Please pray for financial stability and for guidance about finance related decisions for many of the families on our list.

Request #4:

This request was passed on by Women At Risk, an International organization that fights Human Trafficking!

Women At Risk, International- Urgent Prayer Request regarding Sweetie: A few days ago we received word that the [newly discovered] real owner of Sweetie "says" he will sign legal documents giving her to us. One meeting with him happened a day early, and we are still moving forward praying that nothing stops the progress. The day we hope to resolve this is March 1 or 2...continued fasting and prayer is requested! There are MANY things that could stop this in its tracks and turn bad. We need supernatural prayer for a miracle. Read, pray, and claim Isaiah 49:24-25 and Isaiah 52:2-3. We need miracles to set the captive free..."BUT GOD"!!

New Mercies & Fresh Courage

I found this page when I was looking up the Malachi verse, and I thought it might be just what someone here needed to read, so....

Here's an excerpt:

Every morning I do plea for new mercy and fresh courage. Because there is no going without God's grace. And guess what?

God is happy to pour out new mercy and fresh courage for all of us!

Just think of Joshua. He did not receive strength and courage only when he was selected to be the leader after Moses. Joshua found his courage day by day in the strength God provided him. Joshua lived by faith battle by battle. God was with Joshua every step he took. Without God Joshua wouldn't have had the needed strength and courage to lead. But with God he became an invincible leader.

The same way we can find new mercy and fresh courage in the strength God provides us daily. If we try to make it on our own, we just wear ourselves down. But when we walk with God, there will always be a fresh supply of mercy and courage available! We just need to ask!

Thanks for your time and prayers! It's hard to be diligent about prayer when we many times never see the fruits of our time! But rest assured:

"Rejoice always! Pray constantly. Give thanks in everything, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (HCSB)

Penny Needs iPrayer

iPrayer 2/19

Penny- i was lucky my son was behind me as we were getting ready to ascend the stairs. Felt like someone was pushing a board firmly on to my chest. The pressure (no pain) made it difficult to take a deep breath.

Slowly, everything around me began to darken, then blacken. Thankfully, my son sensed something was wrong and was able to break my fall to the cement floor as I collapsed.

Though he's not in the medical field, he's had first aid training as an Eagle Scout and knew the basics of what to do. Apparently I was unconscious for a bit longer than is normal and had a another symptom which sometimes accompanies black outs.

I was also sweating profusely, even though it's cold in our basement this time of year and I was really queasy. In the ER, as I was laying on the table waiting, a charley horse type of cramping pulled on the right side of my neck, follwed by a strong headache which crept up the right side of head.

Since I had chest radiation treatments in 2005 for breast cancer (which can affect the heart), the extensive tests done were to ensure I didn't have a heart attack or stroke. Thanks so much everyone.

Yes, I am eating well. I think diabetes was ruled out after getting my blood work results.

I should get the final heart test results today with the echo cardiogram. I'm praying for a way to pay all the bills that will start coming in for the MRI, Stress tests, Nuclear Medicine scans, Catscans, xrays, bloodwork and medical professional bills that insurance won't cover.

iPrayer Ladies 2/12/13

valentines
February, 12 2013
Good Morning!

I was sitting here at my desk trying to decide which of the piles of work to start on, when I got a prayer request to send you, and decided to do this instead. :-) (ADD is the clinical name for that....)

I hope everyone is having a great week of,
Valentine's Day!!!
And, as Grace was singing to me in the car:
"Don't Worry about ANYTHING, but Pray for EVERYTHING!"

Requests                                                                      requests
Request #1Requesting a prayer for my friend's 13 month old baby boy, Gavin. He is currently in a surgery that he needs in order to survive. He was born with Congenital Heart Defects and has spent most of his life FIGHTING for his life.

You can read more about him and his family at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/Braveheart1227.

He needs all the prayers he can get, so I'm doing the best I can to build up a prayer army today. Pass on the word and thank you in advance for your prayers!

Request #2: Emily is feeling rotten again and having swelling and the whole 90 yards. They are saying its either her heart again or kidneys. So, please pray that she (or I suppose God actually) will conquer her health problems.
Emily's Facebook Status:
My body hurt so badly yesterday. It makes my soul tired to hurt like that. My chest feels like it is on fire, every time I move I can feel the pain as the nerves are coming back across my chest. My ribs are inflammed and I can't lay on my side at all, which is frustrating. I had some bad results from a Pap smear (sorry men out there) and have to have more tests and biopsies, nothing serious to worry about, but yet another thing to deal with for now. I am swelling again, cardiologist is working that up as well. And I still have two papers to finish for my last class... and the new one starts on the 19th! So I am stressed, and could use some prayer, or good thoughts, or Xanax... at least one of those I already have...lol.

Request #3: Kelly - Cancer was found in a tear duct under his right eye and they are going to remove the skin and cells there during a surgery, and then he has to go to a DIFFERENT doctor to have it stitched back up! Who ever heard of something like that! Anyway, please keep him in your prayers. Procedure is next week.

Request #4: Patty leaves tomorrow for California, driving by herself, and it should take about 3 days. She will be on the road the whole day Valentine's Day, and she is leaving her 4 year old, Taylor, here to fly out later in the month with her big sister, Lauren. Lauren is staying here with her Grandparent-in-laws, and not going to be with the rest of her family on the west coast, so this is a second part of the request, as it has been stressful for the whole family.

Request #5The Children's Pastor at FPCC, Laura, has decided it is time to step down from her position, in order to finish the writing of a book she feels God has called her to write. She is excited about that project, but it has been a difficult decision to step down. Please pray for she and her husband for guidance, provisions during the transition, and inspiration too!

Request #6: As you might guess by the last request, we are now seeking a Children's Minister at FPCC. Please keep the Elders in your prayers as they take applications and choose the right person for the job.

Have a Blessed Valentine's Day (or as my friend used to call it "Singles Awareness Day!")

love
I found this and thought some of you Moms, Grandmas and Teachers might like to use it! So, here you go!
