iDerby Ladies!!!

Derby Requests

Well Ladies, have you got your Derby Hats ready? It's Officially Derby Week!!!

I hope you wear Pink on Oaks Day, get all dressed up on Derby Day with your best hat, have some Sweet Tea, holler like a crazy woman for your favorite pony, and have time to sit around and enjoy some time with your friends and family. Happy Derby!!

Sorry to have to add a few requests to the fun, but that's why we are here, right? I will try to write up something more later, but didn't want to waste time when these need to go out!

1) Courtney's Friend just found out her Dad has lung cancer and has been given a limited time. He was hospitalized Thursday and they had no idea what was wrong. Very sudden.

2) Robyn, a co-worker of a friend, is home on bed rest, 23 weeks pregnant

3) Robin's Grandmother, who has been in rehab, then the hospital, and now rehab again, is not doing well at all. She has been in and out of consciousness. :-( Please keep her in your prayers.

4) A lady from the group has been having MAJOR trouble with a personality conflict with her sister-in-law. Actually it's a bit worse than that really. Please pray with her for calm and peace and for God's Will for them.

Thanks Ladies. It's a comfort to the scared and hurting to know you are out there lifting them up before the Great Comforter and Healer.

Wesley Is Out! Plus Requests!

Sleeping Like A Baby

Praise!! Wesley is out of surgery! Tubes in place (again) and the scope was clear! The adenoids had grown back some but the dr removed them again.

Request: A friend's Mom is feeling really crummy and truly needs to go to the doctor but she is kind of scared to go. Please pray she will realize she needs to go and would feel MUCH better if she wasn't fighting through every minute! Also, keep my friend and their family in prayer for how to help best!!

Request: Another Lady in the group has her Mom in a rehab facility following her knee replacement, and her Grandmother in the hospital with multiple health issues!

Request: Amanda is getting married!!! This Saturday at 2pm at Forestpark! Please pray for a blessing on her marriage and a beautiful, joyful wedding!!

Request: Please continue to remember the families who were effected by the bombings in Boston.

I realize we try to focus on people we are directly connected with in some way, but when there is a large scale crisis in our lives and country, we are all effected by it.

It changes the way we look at everything. Fear creeps in.

Honestly, have you reconsidered anything since you heard the news in Boston? I have.

I thought "I'm so glad I have plans during Thunder Over Louisville." And "well we went to the Derby Parade last year w the kids, but no way this year." I even had the experience of someone describing riding on their Derby Float for work and I had a chill and sense of panic for a second!!

Here's a Mystery: God is TOTALLY in control. He allows bad things to happen, but He NEVER causes (never is the Author) of EVIL.

Pray for peace for our country in our minds and physically.

Pray specifically for the families of the 3 deaths and for the 150+ who were injured.

Pray for recovery and the total mental and physical change the runners who have lost their legs will endure.

But above all else, Pray for God's Will. Remember, that was His idea! Jesus told us to pray "Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven."

Praising God for telling us that He is in Control in Heaven where His will is always done and that one day (maybe today? Maybe next week? Maybe when our great-great-great grandchildren are 90) He will Return and Reign Forever!!!

Have an amazing week!

Thanks!

Send me anything you hear because we are always here!!!

Boston Marathon Emergency

Heads up ladies! Turn on the tv! Lets pray for the people in Boston!!

http://www.foxnews.mobi/quickPage.html?page=22995&external=2086311.proteus.fma#quickPage_html_page_22995_content_92002298_pageNum_3

BREAKING NEWS: At Least 3 Killed As Blasts Rip Boston Marathon Finish
Apr 15, 2013 3:39 PM EDT

DEVELOPING: Multiple casualties are reported after at least two explosions were heard near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, according to the Boston Herald.

Witnesses reportedly heard booms that sounded like two claps of thunder near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel.

The explosions occurred just before 3 p.m. Video of the scene showed a number of emergency crews in the area tending to victims and blood on the ground near the finish line.

"I saw two explosions. The first one was beyond the finish line. I heard a loud bang and I saw smoke rising," Boston Herald reporter Chris Cassidy, who was running in the marathon, told the newspaper. "I kept running and I heard behind me a loud bang. It looked like it was in a trash can or something...There are people who have been hit with debris, people with bloody foreheads."

A photographer with Fox affiliate WFXT reported seeing a number of victims with lost limbs.
Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the chaos. Bloody spectators were being carried to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners.

"There are a lot of people down," said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina. He was not injured, but marathon workers were carrying one woman, who did not appear to be a runner, to the medical area as blood gushed from her leg. A Boston police officer was wheeled from the course with a leg injury that was bleeding.

About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line.

Another thunderous explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

Runner Laura McLean of Toronto said she heard two explosions outside the medical tent.

"There are people who are really, really bloody," McLean said. "They were pulling them into the medical tent."

Cherie Falgoust was waiting for her husband, who was running the race. "I was expecting my husband any minute," she said. "I don't know what this building is ... it just blew. Just a big bomb, a loud boom, and then glass everywhere. Something hit my head. I don't know what it was. I just ducked."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

iMystery Prayer

Mystery Prayer

Sometimes God lets us in on the details of prayers He plans to answer (yes, no, or wait) so that we can learn more about Him!

But sometimes we have to pray in faith and leave the details between the people involved and the Lord.

This is one of those times!

We have received a prayer request from the Dad of a family which sounded very urgent and desperate over the phone.

All we know is, he asked us to "activate the prayer chain" because they were dealing with a major situation.

It was a voice mail and although we returned the call, leaving him a message, we haven't heard anything else from them.

Please join us in praying for God's will in this situation.

:-)

And as always, I truly thank you for taking time to read these and at least say a super-mini prayer or a "red light" prayer! ( you know the kind where you zip a prayer request out while waiting for the light to turn green!)

Request: Emily is having some pain, ok a lot of pain, in the cartilage in her rib cage! Please pray for healing there and as always for The Lord to reveal His Truth to her!!

Happy Easter & 88th Birthday

Happy Easter & 88th Birthday!

Happy 88th Birthday to my Grandmother!! A praise for her health and that she is having lunch today with two friends from KINDERGARTEN!! Those are three good friends! :-)

Happy Easter to everyone! Tonight our Wednesday Night Bible Study will be filling Easter eggs and gift bags for the kids to have in the sanctuary Sunday! I got to give my nephew David his Easter candy today!

Oh, and next week is Spring Break!!

Busy time of year! I am including a little of the email I sent out to the parents at church on the bottom!

Request: My Aunt Betty has a major praise and a prayer! This morning she had a section of the skin on her face operated on and we got the report already that it is NOT cancer!! Prayer of course is for healing!! :-) She is feeling nauseated. And also Praise God that her good friend from church can stay in the hospital with her!!

Request: Prayers for Allen and his family as they deal with the loss of his mother. They are with the family now and doctors have said she will pass soon. :-(

Request: Derema's interview went really well and now we wait for multiple "big wigs" in various states to agree that she's amazing, and then give her a big raise!!! (Read: "please pray for good news!")

Request: Suzanne, who we have prayed for earlier in her pregnancy, is due to be induced Saturday if nothing changes. Her husband Charles has the flu!! (Or at least he's very sick!)

He has a high fever, chills, congestion, stomach, etc! Now her little girl is saying her "lungs hurt" when she breathes!!

Please pray that Charles will be healthy enough (no fever) to be with her during her delivery and the rest of them would stay healthy too!!

Oh, and for a safe delivery this weekend too!!

History: 11/30/12 Suzanne- Ok so I am on semi bed rest/restrictions with baby and we are stage 1 abruption with hemmorhaging that basically is a u shaped break down that will not heal, inside placenta wall,Which doctors will monitor every 2 weeks to see that it is not growing larger than it already has. There isn't anything they can do about this but only thing is for me to take easy. FYI- the abruption miraculously healed, which she was told is unusual!

Here's the note I sent the parents (which was attached to song lyrics for the kids who are singing for Easter, lest you think I just live rambling and...oh)

~We are so excited that it is almost Easter!! You know, there is a lot to do between now and bedtime Sunday! But, let's try (sort-of, maybe) to keep something in mind as we rush through this holiday...

Kids can only understand "Easter" in so far as we teach them about "Easter".

They will only understand what they actually see around them, not what we split-second tell them in-the-car-headed-to-stop-#7.

Not that we can actually take them physically to the empty tomb in a week, but...

If we spend the next 7 days rushing around, buying fancy clothes, frantically stuffing eggs, cramming their head full of song lyrics, desperately trying to get everything done and to church on time for breakfast, and then afterwards yell, "HURRY UP AND GRAB SOME EGGS! We've got to get to Grandmas!!!".....guess what they will learn? Well, not "peace and joy" anyway.

Now, that's not to say we can roll out of bed and head off in our blue jean cut-offs to church Easter morning, refuse to bother with Easter Baskets so we toss them some peeps from the gas station, wander in an hour late for church, and make Grandma mad because we forgot her!

But, this year, I am hoping to try to take a few deep breaths, (remind me when you see me) and give Grace a little extra grace, when she has her dress on backwards, and let Thomas have a little moment of down time when he looses his left shoe (again.) And maybe, hopefully, take a second here and there to talk about the real point of this upcoming day! "He is Risen!" "He is Risen Indeed!" :-)

iPrayer 3/19/13

iPrayer 3/19

Request: Robin- My Grandmother has convinced her doctors that she wants to give up. They are setting up a meeting with Hospice, doctors, Grandmother and Mom. (Probably tomorrow) This doesn't mean she's signing up she might change her mind. She is really tired. Like talking so someone coming out of anesthesia.

Request: Derema- Please pray for my Great Aunt Lil and our family. Hospice had to be called in yesterday because there is not a lot medically that can be done for her lung cancer any longer. She is a woman of God and is ready to go home whenever He sees fit. However it is still very painful to think about her leaving.

Request - Allen-God has blessed us beyond measure with allowing Mom to stay with us a little longer here on earth. However that time has come to an end. The events that took place in the early hours of Friday March 15th was more than mom's mortal body could handle and God decided He wants her home where Dad as well and her mama, daddy, brother, and grandson are anxiously awaiting her arrival.

Please pray for my brothers, myself and our families as we say goodbye to our mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. We will share more details in the days to come. Thank you all!

Safe!!

Safe!!!

Praise our Father, Kyle Bauer is safe...from Charisma News today:

Foursquare missionary Kyle Bauer was kidnapped Thursday in Mexico, near Puerto Vallarta. Through the work of local authorities, the FBI, and the U.S. Embassy, as well as coordinated communication between family, Foursquare leadership, and hostage consultants, Kyle was returned safely to his family at approximately 11 a.m. local time today.
Bauer, 31, and his wife, Teresa, were appointed as Foursquare missionaries to Mexico in 2011 and were deployed in August 2012. Kyle has been a Foursquare-credentialed minister since 2003 and was ordained in 2006. The Bauers have four children.
We are grateful to God for bringing Kyle safely back home to his wife and children, said Foursquare president Glenn Burris Jr., who has kept apprised of the situation at every turn. The prayer support that permeated the past 24 hours is a testimony to the miraculous outcome of this story.
No further details of the kidnapping were available at press time. The Bauers are being reunited with extended family and appreciate the continued prayer support throughout this emotional time.
Founded in 1923, The Foursquare Church is a movement of 67,000 churches and meeting places throughout 140 countries.

Blessings,
Nancy

iPrayer 3/13/13

iPrayer 3/13/13

A few requests:
1) Lets pray for an iPrayer lady who wasn't feeling good this past weekend and after a quick ER trip found out she has a kidney infection, kidney stones, diverticulitis, and possible a few more things!!! She's been given major antibiotics and has a dr appt next week.

2) My little nephew, who is 2, is going to have his tonsils taken out! The ENT said "he's just a ticking time bomb!" His tonsils are so swollen that they are both touching his uvula!! If he would get sick again they could swell enough to block his airway!! Please pray for a quick surgery appt, a smooth procedure, and really painless recovery!!!

3) A praise: The decision I've been praying about was finally decided and the answer was YES!

Sad News This Morning

Sad News This Morning

Sad news this morning from Shannon. We prayed this week for the son-in-law of her co-worker who was shot, and this morning we found out that he has passed away.

Request: Please pray for Heidi and her 3 sons, the littlest is less than 2 weeks old. :-(

History:
Request from Shannon's Co-Worker Beth: Brothers and Sisters , we need your prayers! This young man is the son-in-law of my church friends.(Brandon) is fighting for his life in the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville after a brutal shooting. A bystander says Brandon was involved in a minor accident and it appeared that when Brandon reached for his glove compartment to get his registration, a man shot him through the window, thinking he was reaching for a gun; then dragged him out of the truck and shot him twice more. We're told the shooter was a bailiff (who carries a gun). Brandon and Heidi have an 11 day old son, as well as two other little boys. The family just met with the Dr's and the news in not good. The Dr. said that the chances that Brandon will ever leave Vanderbilt are very slim. However, he said that he didn't know for sure. He said that it was slightly possible.

iPrayer 3/1/13

iPrayer 3/1

Praise from Adrianna- Praising God that the girl scout cookies taste great again this year!! This time last year i was on chemo-treatments and they tasted awful!!

Request from K: Thank you for the prayers. i have fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, and diverticulosis, so am use to some different pains. no extra pains.

Please pray for God's healing touch. I had my regular doctors appt last week. My liver functions have run a bit high for awhile and yesterday i got a call that my liver functions were up higher then usual and the doctor set up an ultrasound of my liver and more bloodwork today. the labs are checking for hepatitis. Praying God will bring good news! i'm thinking the doctor is just being thorough.
Trusting God in all things :)

The problem is that Brandon's heart stopped. They don't know for how long. This robbed his brain of oxygen. The Dr. Also said that if his heart stops, he will not try and bring him back. Bottom line. This is the kind of thing only God can fix. Please continue to declare life for Brandon. What we need is faithful prayers
